Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We're raising money for PROPS because they do fantastic work supporting young adults with learning disabilities, by empowering them with skills and opportunities to live happily, independently and with access to paid employment. One of their current projects is their first high street cafe, which is being built to train and employ adults with learning disabilities, making a huge difference to dozens of lives. We're also fundraising to celebrate the life of our lovely friend, Helen Brittain, who spent a number of years working at PROPS and was passionate about the work they do.

March 2023 will be the first anniversary of our dear Helen passing (or, as she preferred to think of it, of her continuing her journey as a plant 🌱). To celebrate her life and come together to mark the loss of our wonderful friend, we’re organising a walk and evening of celebration for all who knew and loved her to join.

The ‘Daffodil Walk’ will take place near Newlyn on March 25th, taking in the beautiful Cornish coastline that she so enjoyed, and include a chance to visit Helen’s Forest, a beautiful piece of private woodland near Lamorna Cove, dedicated to Helen, as a special place to enjoy nature and remember her by.

Also in March – the month we’re dedicating to Helen - Hannah and her brother, John, will be running the Stafford Half-Marathon, asking for anyone who wishes to sponsor them to donate to PROPS in Helen’s name.

Anyone who can't make it to Cornwall for the Daffodil Walk is encouraged to make their own tribute to Helen. Most fitting would be anything involving nature and the outdoors, while her favourite daffodils are ‘fluttering and dancing in the breeze’.

Please share with friends, family... anyone you know who might want to take part and/or donate to a local charity close to Helen’s heart.

Thanks so much,
Amy, Ruth, Hannah, Emma, Kate & Mark Hannah Hoyle
